We are insulating the roof…in a HAILSTORM no less! We wanted to take full advantage of the log cabin’s beautiful cathedral ceiling, which is why we decided to leave the rafters and barn board sheathing exposed from the inside. This meant we couldn’t insulate from the inside. Our only option was to place sheets of foam board insulation on TOP of the roof. In addition, we also laid the strapping in preparation for the roofing steel.
